About Yvonne

I am inspired by the power of feelings that move beyond words.

Awe, wonder, deep connection, a soulful presence and a still, quiet. I particularly find this in the company of flowers, trees and dogs.

I like to think my art embodies a sense of that presence and connection. That which brings us comfort and meaning.

My own journey with art began as a child. I loved the quiet of the art room, being creative, drawing and painting. I created my first pastel portrait of our family dog Bella with whom I shared a deep bond, drew pictures for friends to appreciate our friendship and painted peaceful scenes.

I always loved design, art, architecture and beautiful spaces.  My professional career took me into various creative and production management roles.  As I met my own personal life challenges, I discovered a slower, simpler way to be and an inner compass.

I learnt to notice what I was drawn to and listen to my heart. I leant into my relationship with dogs, found solace in green spaces, became inspired by the legacy of Lady Bird Johnson, an advocate for the environment and the flowering earth, and found peace in creating art again.

I paint and draw what moves me; the energy of green spaces, gardens and woods, the colour and richness in oils.  And the gentleness of pastels for my dog portraits. Seeking always, to capture the essence of that which brings connection and meaning; feelings of love, peace and joy.

My dogs, Harlee and Little Bear, work with me in our beautiful home, also my studio, in a lovely village in the Kent countryside. I’m also privileged to work as a life coach, supporting others in finding themselves and creating their own paths.

I have undertaken various private commissions and exhibited locally.
